South East Junior Hurling Champions

Courceys 0-14 Valleys 0-13

Match Report from Cork Examiner by Joe Kennefick

A brilliant display from Courcey Rovers saw them wrestle the South East JAHC title away from Valley Rovers in Belgooly on Sunday.   A point in the 59th minute from Brendan Ryan proved to be the match winner in a tight match after the sides had been level on eight occasions with a replay looking likely although a late Valleys free which just drifted outside the upright ensured a nail bitting finish.

At half time Valleys lead by 7 to 6 points. After the interval Valleys INCREASED their lead but Courcies levelled by the 41st minute following a Liam Collins point  from here to the finish the sides battled it out in thrilling fashion.  Man of the match Colm Daly scored six second half points before Brendan struck the decisive score.   John Collins captain was presented with the cup.
